Seriously Misleading Headline, this was a VERY long time ago, and he worked under another Attorney. If this is what is bragged about D. Bruce Sewell, well then the Press needs to Dig Deeper. To Me the Fall of 2009 is not as Innocent as it seems For a Starting Date for Super Lawyer Durward Bruce Sewell.
I am not Saying I know the Facts in any way surrounding the Nokia Lawsuit against Apple, however having seen Real Estate Lawsuits, and read tons of Legal Cases as well as watching many play out online with complete records of emails, phone calls, demand letters and more... Well I am confident in saying that before a Lawsuit is filed the Fight had already been well under way for months and sometimes even way longer.
See if you first learned someone had Wronged You, such as in this Case of Apple Allegedly infringing on Nokia's Patent - or really any legal matter, you would Most Likely not First FILE Suite... you would issue a Cease and Desist with an Attorney, the Parties involved would have a certain amount of time to comply, there would most likely be email and phone correspondence as well as Snail Mail go back and Forth...
So as the Headlines Read, Nokia Filed their Patent Infringement Lawsuit against Apple on or around October 22nd, 2009... ok so my guess is Apple knew this was coming for many months before if not longer... again emails, cease and desist, the Tech Rumor Mill, boards, meetings... they had to no long before the file date.
So what Did Apple Do, In My Opinion of Course?
Well Conveniently in or around Mid September of 2009, approximately One Month before Nokia Filed a Patent Infringement Lawsuit against Apple - D. Bruce Sewell was Brought on Board as Apple's General Counsel and Senior Vice President replacing the Apples General Counsel and senior vice president, Legal and Government Affairs, Daniel Cooperman, who has served in the role for the last two years and will be retiring at the end of September.
Ok so Daniel Cooperman just happen to be retiring and they needed a Replacement?
Bull, this was a Head Hunter sort of a Deal, like you see in the Movies. Apple needed a Guy that help them Win against Nokia, my Guess is Apple had heard thru the Tech "Grape Vine" that D. Bruce Sewell had been able to assist in Silence the Iviewit Inventors Patent Rights and that is a Trillion Dollar Technology, my guess is Apple needed a Guy that NOT only knew how to get rid of those pesky "Real Inventors" but also a guy that was already connected with the Courts, the Patent Office, and the entire system of laws and governing that would enable him to Fight so Well that the Real Inventors would NOT have a Chance.
It is all over on the Internet, and it certainly is NO Secret in the Tech Community that the US Patent Office, the US Courts, Intel, IBM and Many other Tech Companies and names of the Power Elite and Policial Process ... no Secret at all that Intel is one of the Companies using this Stolen Patent and that there is Records of Contracts that Intel is NOT making good with the Real Inventors.
Boy if this Super Duper "General Counsel" D. Bruce Sewell at Intell has done so good in Shutting these Folks up and squashing their rights and LEGALLY got away with it, and WITH no Recourse to the Intel Corporation and he managed to do it without even shaking the confidence of the Shareholders then we got to get him over her to Apple and Now... whatever it Takes... see we got this Nokia thing breathing down our necks and We NEED a GUY that can handle the Courts, the Patent System and has the Connections, Moxy, and Lack of Ethics to Pull this Off... So, My Opinion of Course .. only..
They Bought an Early Retirement from Daniel Cooperman, Next they Made Ol' D. Bruce Sewell an offer he could not refuse and now he is at Apple starting his Evil Inventor Smackdown there with Press Statements such as this... "“Other companies must compete with us by inventing their own technologies, not just by stealing ours,”" !!!
See the More Wrong and Ridiculous ...D. Bruce Sewell can Make Nokia look and the more bad press he can get them, buy, or just make up.... the less Apple will eventually have to Settle for.. or Nokia will just give up and Slither away because the Almighty Bruce Sewell, Durward Bruce Sewell will Strong Arm Them, Deny Their Rights, NOT warn Shareholders of the Validy of these Claims and in This Commit Fraud among so many other things... In my Opinon of course...
Now I don't know any details on the Nokia Case Really, however, I have seen through DEEPLY studying legal documents, emails, phone transcriptions and more at www.Iviewit.TV - Well I can See that Bruce Sewell is NOT new to the Inventor Rights Smackdown, Ignoring Inventors Rights, Doing as he Pleases, NOT warning Shareholders, and NOT capable of actually reading contracts and seeing to it the COMPANY he is "General Counsel" for Will Actually act with integrity and will honor contracts and commitments.. instead Bruces Sewell makes sure the Company he is General Counsel for is Above the Law and that those Pesky Patent Owners and Inventors will be Fought Off....
